Danish born saxophonist Michael Lington relocated to the US at 21, and soon began playing with greats Little Richard, Randy Crawford & Bobby Caldwell. Similar to Caldwell’s previous saxophonist Dave Koz, Lington segued into a distinguished recording career of his own. Five albums & 10 Radio and Records® hits later, Lington is a global touring presence, recently performing at the Royal Wedding of Denmark’s future king. He is a 10 year Recording Academy voting member and was also recently appointet to the Academy’s jazz committee. He is active in fundraising for Mr. Holland’s Opus, Ares of Love & The Grammy® Foundation and also runs his own record company Copenhagen Entertainment and cigar company Michael Lington Cigars.
